This documentary asks the question: "Can a child be Born Pumped?"
The film follows members of Pumped Associates as they prepare parents and babies how to live a pumped lifestyle.
Filmed on location in Eynon, Throop, Jessup, Dickson City, and Scranton.

ANTIETAM CREEK

Written and Directed by Stephen Lewis

A Civil War tale about duty, honor, and family.
Filmed on location in Olyphant, Peckville, and Jessup.

A NIGHT ON THE MOON
Directed by Bob Sweeney
Fantasy / Romance / Sci-Fi
(15 Minutes)
Strange and Wonderful things can happen on the moon. Set in the early 20th century and filmed in the fashion of an old silent film, the story centers on Scott who tries to impress, Harriet, by taking her on a date to the moon.
Filmed on location in Dickson City and Duryea.

(5 Minutes)
Five guys dressed as Smurfs, get an emergency call while at a Halloween party. The Smurfs, who work as motivational consultants at their day job, head off to assist two priests during a spooky exorcism.
Filmed on location in Moosic and Pittston.

Various other short films and promos will screen. The entire screening will last one hour.

FREE MOVIES THIS WEEKEND!

The recession got you down? Has a night at the movies with popcorn and a soda added in taking a bigger bite out your wallet than usual?

Well the CFP has your answer, at least for this weekend, as they are presenting two nights of locally produced short films and the admission is something everyone can afford- absolutely free! And we won't even yell at you if we catch you sneaking in your own snacks.

Saturday night, Wyoming Seminary's Buckingham Performing Arts Center on 201 North Sprague Avenue in Kingston will see the premier of three new short films including Antietam Creek, Born Pumped and 10-66. Show starts at 7pm.

Sunday evening, the Jessup Borough Building, 395 Lane Street in, where else, Jessup will see a different lineup of films including the comedies Get Pumped, its sequel Born Pumped and Star World. Show time is at 7 pm.

Wanted: CAST

If you are in the Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, or greater NEPA area and are interested in acting, these two projects are seeking talent for upcoming productions:

(1) MUSIC VIDEO
Comedic actress wanted for a Jumpin Jeff Walker music video. The actress must have a “muffin top” body type, with a playable age between 20 to 40. The video is for the song “Muffin Top” from Jumpin Jeff Walker of 98.5 KRZ. This video will be promoted on KRZ’s web page, and various internet outlets associated with the radio station. Actresses interested in auditions, please email tony@communityfilmproject.org.

(2) SHORT HORROR FILM
Female actress age 45-60 and a male actor age 18-26 are wanted for a short subject horror film that will shoot in Wilkes-Barre August 22-23. If interested, please contact Thom at thoma123@aol.com.

Local Stars To Shine On 6/20 At Vintage!

Locally produced film "Who's Famous Now?" to screen at Vintage on 6/20.

On Saturday, June 20 Community Film Project and The Vintage Theater proudly present the larger than life comedy "Who's Famous Now?"--featuring the brightest stars in all of NEPA.

This 68 minute long comedy was the direct result of Community Film Project's first ever casting call back in 2003. "Who's Famous Now?" was written and directed by Tony DelRegno and Jeff Fowler. This is the first screening since the November 2005 premiere.

Synopsis:
A struggling reality TV show, "Who’s Famous Now?" plans to broadcast a blind date between international action superstar, Lane Parker, and student Quincy Briggs. Lane chose Quincy for the date because he claimed to be a worldly man who could speak six different languages. In reality Quincy runs a fantasy club for losers, and is known to his followers as Lord Bow. With the help of his loyal geeks, Lord Bow lies his way through the date because he wants to become rich, famous, and adored by all the world.

WANTED: Visual Effects Artist

The Vintage Theater (www.scrantonsvintagetheater.com) is looking for a visual effects artist for a film series it is producing this summer. Effects of a science fiction variety is needed for a light-hearted drama/fantasy. Key effects involve the four elements (water, fire, earth, air), "energy" composites, and more. The project is non-profit although a modest finical compensation will be made.
